Post Premiere
On Friday August 15, 2014, the Almost Fairytales cast and
crew of Mr. Clean, Home Wrecker were jazzed to participate in the El Cid ShortFilm Showcase. This was the world premiere for AFF’s latest project, a comedic
short parodying the famed cleaning product’s mascot’s commercial campaigns of
the 1950s.

The El Cid is a lovely theater laced with old Hollywood
heritage. D.W. Griffith was known to shot several of his epics right next to
the building.
This was the first time El Cid Short Film Showcase
coordinator, Mike McCarthy ran the event on a Friday. The theater was a bustle
in anticipation for the 7 short films. Each was premiering and done by LA
filmmakers.

Almost Fairytales Films to Premier Latest Short Comedy at the El Cid Short Film Night on 8/15/14!
This month we wrapped post-production on our latest film,
Mr. Clean, Home Wrecker. It is a
comedic short that parodies the famed mascot and his antics with a bored
homemaker.
Their relationship results in something a little less than professional.
Our crew consisted of Nicholas Mandri (Director of Photography), MeghanCaly Dillon (Production Designer), Alexandra French (Makeup Artist), BobHeinbokel (Composer/ Sound Mixer), Nick Gorglione (Production Accountant), Andrew Renslow (Screenwriter), Lindsey Myers (Film Editor) and Jessica Renslow
(Director).
We are also happy to announce that Mr. Clean, Home Wrecker will have its worldwide premier at the historic
El Cid Theater. The building is a replica of a 16th Century tavern and has a
50-year tradition as a supper club/bar featuring live Flamenco entertainment
and film showcases. Please feel free to come and join us at this fun event!
